We have stayed at several *rustic* accommodations as well. I do find the barrier for connection is a lot lower in those places, and if I’m willing to humble myself and be present it can be a much richer experience.

We jokingly refer to those type of places as “local” in our family dialect. Haha

Beautiful post. Love the reference to motherhood and resiliency. Very well said.
